******DUMBO UPDATE******

well Dumbo the CB05 Dumerils boa has eaten the vole or shrew that i threw in for him the other day, fresh-killed (courtesy of my delightful cats!). suffering from serious 'blondeness' recently i only thought to check last night............... 48 hours after i threw it in.......... if he hadn't eaten it i'm sure the subsequent smell would have prompted me to look sooner! lol

that's 3 feeds since i got him in March, one F/T gerbil, 1 live field mouse and now a F/K vole/shrew thingy

compared to his previous owner who only managed to feed him 4 times in the whole of last year, go me!!

(this is where it all goes wrong now and nothing will ever eat again............ )

last night was a F/T small rat weaner! go Bo! go Bo! go Bo!

i've yet to try the new Dum tho, the weaner was actually defrosted for him as i'd fed Bo on live 3 days earlier......... but just thought i'd try waving it under Bo's nose..............

yes parasites are an issue..........
but i'm working on the principle that my cats, dog and horses are routinely wormed, so why not the snakes?? (those that have been fed wild rodents with a potential endoparasite burden)

Sounds like you are doing great

Apparrently some snakes like wild rodents because they are cleaner than frozen ones. I can't see it myself but ...
