Hi guys and girls, this is my first RUB setup and also my first Boa so new territory to me at the momenet, anyway just want to run my setup by you guys for approval or things I need to sort out before Sanke arrives.

My hot end temps are pretty much holding steady at 32oC and my cold end/ambient temps are between 20-23oC, my humidity is although unmonitored its been checked and is around 50% (my room is the same as are my 2 vivs).

Thats my setup, thats a coconut hide in the hot end, a piece of wood for climbing and shedding assistance, a snake cave in the cool end and a mass of foliage for climbing and hiding. That foliage was a great find, but it was the only bit they had so will be watching out as I want more. I'm only using a tiny bowl at the moment but have lots of bowls in the house so will pick the appropriate one when Snake arrives. The keen eyed will notice that there are no wires coming in from the top, they all come in from the bottom at the side. My mat is also inside the RUB, each of my RUB's will have their own mats and are statted with the probe attached directly to the mat so this won't be an issue.

Cracked it, when I put the RUB on top of the Royals viv on a towel the ambient goes up to 24-26 (tested out today) so thats that sorted out, now I will sit back and wait for the arrival of my Hogg. Can't wait, thanks guys for checking over my setup.

I am away for the weekend so I decided to wait until I get back so I'm picking it up when I get back on the 29th.

Pretty much the same as mine then, I'm happy now. Just going to save electricity now and switch it back on a day before the Boa arrives.

Not sure of the DoB but the breeder only just released the litter/clutch(?) Its seriously tiny, if its 2 foot I'd be surprised. Though I have a host of hides knocking about the house so will switch to a bettter fitting one if required. Its quite a big coconut hide as those go. Was looking for a snug fit for him but without turning it into a tortoise hybrid.

How old and how big is the boa you are getting, would be surprised if a coconut hide will be big enough for it.
