Boris (BCI) has very quickly gone into blue. I wasnt expecting it so soon as i have had him a month and he only shed the week before i got him apparently. He has, however, put on a lot of weight and a grown in length very fast in a short time. I think this is due to the poor conditions he was in and low temps, also a c**p feeding schedule.

Anyway, the reason for the post is this, I'm new to boas but good with royals so do i need to do anything different for Boris?

My plan is to raise humidity, add a damp hide and let him get on with it! (With one eye on him all the while obviously!)

He ate a huge meal 2 days ago so I'm surprised about his sudden shed phase but happy to know he is growing and healthy!

Best I write him a letter too then!

So far so good, water change and some house work...no hisses!

so long as you did apologise he may forgive you , our lad is a right friendly wee beast but see him and blue he turns into the devil with toothache .

Ok, will pay heed to that then, although last night i got him out before noticing he had blue eyes and he was his usual friendly self! I very quickly put him back, apologising for being so rude!

The only thing I'd say is any different with the boas to any of my other reps is that mine don't seem to like any intrusion when in blue-eye stage. Warning hisses are common for me then, even if I'm only water changing.
