I second the idea that plastic vivs are the way to go. They best meet this species' primary needs of humidity retention, heat retention, and privacy. Sam, there was a recent thread on hunting for plastic vivs. Graeme, can we find and sticky that so future searchers can find it more easily, please?

I have been looking for a plastic viv and they are very pricey. I have a Herp Tek for my GTP and its a great viv. Does anyone know of any plastic vivs that are more resonable? Think I am going to use a RUB and then save for a Herp Tek or similar for the future.

In my opinion plastic vivs are best as they maintain the humidity better than wooden ones and don't have the problem of the wood absorbing moisture and warping, they also have pretty good thermal properties to prevent heat loss.
Glass obviously doesn't warp and would maintain humidity (apart from those with mesh tops) but is not good at maintaining the heat and also leaves the snake very exposed unless the sides are covered.
Hope this helps
As to where to get them from, I would just shop around on the web.
