Hello all!!

Jade my BRB has recently taken to being on the cool side all the time, in the warm hide its usually about 28C (83F) and the cool side is around 20C, but as it isnt heated, can drop as low as 15C, or whatever ambient is. Why would she choose to be there? Every time I pick her up she's freezing! She has plenty of choice for hides, if anything the cold side hide is too small for her, so I just don't understand why she's there!

Hey! Yes I switched the hides around, and all seems back to normal, she's back to sitching between the two as and when she fancies it. Phew!!

Any luck, Oscar?

Yep, I'd agree with Snakesitter's advice. They do go through periods when they prefer cooler temperatures, there's no doubt about that. You'll find that particularly common among those that don't eat much because it helps slow down their system and stretch the stored energy all that much farther

Check the warm side temp with a second measuring device, if you can. Afterward, try lowering that side a degree or two and see if that makes a difference. It could just be *too* hot for her, either because of something about her condition (mood, shed, etc.) or because the temp is actually warmer than it reads.
