hey everyone just wondering what sort of weight would you expect a 3 1/2 foot- 4 foot cb 2009 brb to be just as im looking at one haha. im getting an addiction |

I agree to an extent with CDN. If your animal is healthy and eats on a regular basis a proper sized meal then you don't really need to know the weights. However. I keep a pretty stable record of my snakes weights. Mainly because I breed mine. It is good to know when they are building or when they are off food and how much they are losing and if they have gotten back up to the previous years weight before breeding them again. |

I've never weighed a single snake in 24 years, lol. I just fail to see the point, personally. If the thing looks and acts healthy, it's all good in my book.
I think weight is more based on individual animals and one's keeping habits (e.g. food intake vs. how much exercise it gets).
Of course, those with females that are breeding would be keeping those particular animals more on the heavy side, while males tend to be about 20% smaller than a female of the same age.
There are a lot of factors at play for such a thing. The animal's sex will be a big factor in weight (of course), and a lot of people tend to feed their RBs very small food items, so that's going to have a large impact.
