Hi Guys,
I went to the Hamm show (in Germany) today and found 1 breeder selling BRBs, as it was early on I had a walk round and came back an hour later to find that a single person had purchased all 6 that were for sale! Lesson learnt and I will buy straight away when I see what I want next time.
Anyway back to the point I am still looking for a female BRB that is available close to Luxembourg, if any body has one available or know someone who might please let me know!
Thanks
Pete

Ah, OK, 400 grams is very reasonable for that age. I thought she was much larger from the photos. Again, they both look great!

Late 2010 i was told by the breeder, but to be fair the picture does make her look bigger than she actually is, she is around 3 ft and 400 grams.
I don't mind the nips, I have enough snakes to have lost count by now, and completely agree it comes with the territory.
Thanks for your interest I am always happy to talk about them!

Wow, a 2010 and she's already that size? The occasional nip comes with the territory for younger Brazilians. :-) Both look very nice!

She was born in 2010 and he was born December 2011 so his still small, both great and he was not snappy at all until yesterday when he nipped my hand but was fine again today so all seems well.
I am planning to breed them as part of a project to breed naturals, I am including my pure Hogg Island Boas, and hoping to get 1 or 2 more species to include.

Sweet! She looks like an adult, but how old is he?

I'll defer to a local for this one. ;-)

So as I have not been successful in my area, could anyone advise me of a BRB breeder close to Exmouth in the UK?
I will be in that area on Easter weekend!
Thanks,
Pete

Thanks Snakesitter, I know what you mean about the shows, it must be very stressfull for all the animals as its stressful enough for me walking around in such a crowded place! I do normally buy privately, the Hogg Island I purchased at this years show is actually the first animal I have got from one of these shows, as I normally go for accessories and enclosures but have been having trouble finding local breeders (lived here for a few years and decided recently to take the hobby back up and start breeding again), sure I will find one sooner or later, otherwise on my next trip to the UK

Pete, although it did not work out this time, I think you were smart not to buy the first one you saw. Someone else may have had a better specimen elsewhere on the floor. However, I'm not a big fan of buying at shows anyway, and prefer to go with private (and where possible specialized) breeders. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any in your area. Good luck to you!
