Posted - 15/06/2011 : 23:54:41 This week Living Gems Reptiles profiles one of its baby animals, Aventurine. Aventurine is a September 2010 female. As opposed to Pyrope who we profiled last week, Aventurine seems nervous about *everything*, often staying curled up in a tight ball when handled, and sometimes refusing food because people are/were around. As of March 2011, she weighed 76 grams.
Here she is in a sequence of three shots under different lighting, all taken in March 2011:
Inside, No Flash

Outside (Cute Warning!)

Posted - 21/06/2011 : 15:47:22 Kaz, I have some like that too. I can't "offer" it to them, I have to leave it outside their hide, turn the lights off, and leave the room.
Sounds like outside wins! ;-) |
