More of our beautiful one:

The last one was taken without the flash so she looks a lot darker than in the other two, but at least you can see her little, white belly

I might have to try a mouse then, she's missed so many feeds at the moment. Bloody snakes- why can't they all be as easy as corns
karl Posted - 30/12/2008 : 17:39:05
When they are young I tend to go with the "feed them what they will eat" routine if they are being picky, then when they can take larger items I send a small mouse in, followed by a rat pup, to get them over to rats
Kazerella Posted - 30/12/2008 : 11:34:55
Well BE only fed her on rats so I don't know why she's been funny now. I think she's just still settling in, because she's had 3 viv changes in the last few weeks. Hopefully she'll get more settled now she's got a permanent home.

Marilyn has a mouse starter, would Ruby have a mouse and then a rat as main course?
Kazerella Posted - 29/12/2008 : 20:38:31
No, she's missed her last two feeds. Considering trying her on mice to get her going again, but then I don't know if that'll just lead to greater problems later on.

What do you think?

Very nice Kaz, is the feeding improving?

Here's another of the Ruby one:

They tend to get more bright when they age.

If you like the dark ones, cross the fingers Bo doesn't brighten up too much

cool, I have never ever seen mine look orange, only ever the darker brown (and I must admit I like the darker look)

WOW, gorgeous snake!! How old is she?? Have you had her long? :)
Kazerella Posted - 21/11/2008 : 17:19:39
I've heard they are feisty too Emmaapple (I've been doing my research for the care sheets and they all say that ), but Ruby hasn't shown any nippiness at all.

Think it's a hatchling thing- they grow out of it as soon as they realise everything that moves isn't food.
EmmaApple Posted - 21/11/2008 : 11:16:24
I've only got a wee baby corn, i cant go up to anything that big as my second snake.

It will eat me!!
gingerpony Posted - 19/11/2008 : 20:05:24
