Posted - 18/07/2012 : 23:30:27 This is (another) long-delayed introduction to a snake who has now been our guest for ten months. Almost two years of age now, this little gal was a holdback animal that we were lucky enough to acquire when the breeder thinned their ranks of younger snakes. Even more impressive than her color is her pedigree: her father was a stunning Howard Leong male, and her mother from Bryan Hummel stock. (If you have not guessed by now, she is sister to the animal we profiled a few weeks back.)
Here she is as of her early mid-September arrival at Living Gems. At that first weigh-in with us, she was 125 grams; since then, she has climbed to 275.

If her looks stay like this, she will be a very strong challenger to our senior red females for the right to remain a Living Gems breeder.

As for length, good question...I never measure, as it takes so long to pin a squirmy snake down. I'll try and take a rough guess next time I handle her. |

Posted - 18/07/2012 : 23:52:44 Hey,
She looks great!
Out of curiosity what length is she? Mine is currently 280 and around three foot...just want a comparative snake length for similar weight.
Cheers
