She's on her way - she'll be asking for seconds before you know it! ;-)

Last night Ruby had the smallest of the large rat weaners from the pack of 10 I purchased - it went down with out any problems
I would rather her growth was slower than risk stomach upsets and possible health issues, I know she wont starve as she gets fed weekly

Caution is always recommended. Well done!

Thanks smart bunny - I can't believe how much she has grown, just got some large rat weaners in for her, probably long over due but I would rather be careful and take longer to up feed sizes, rather than have regurges.

Thanks for the reassurance Cliff

Some of them grow much slower than others...I suspect it's due to the Mom's condition (how many years in a row she bred, whether the litter was dropped early) and early feeding (which if slow and/or low may get babies off to a slow start). The good news is they almost all eventually catch up.

Thanks Cliff
I am really pleased with her, just wish my male Indigo would grow, he was a late cb11 but only weighed 214g when weighed at the beginning of July

Sounds like excellent progress! Keep at it...and visit us with picts more often, please!!!

Thanks Cliff, I bought her as a cb11 and was told she was an early cb11, which would make her 2 years old.
I was told she was a poor feeder initially and I do think for an early cb11 she is probably on the small side, she is roughly 4' in length and weighed 448g when I weighed her last night, I know she was empty because she had shed and pood the night before.
She looks healthy, sheds in one piece and eats ok, going to move her up a food size very soon.
