Posted - 30/03/2011 : 18:30:59 Hello guys! This is my first post on this forum!
I have two lovely rainbows which I bought 3 weeks ago!
This is Ruby (F)
This is Saffron (M)
I were told they were VRB's, although some people I have talked to has said there is no such thing? Although I have looked at pictures and I think they look like PRB's
Or are they a colour morph of some kind?
What do I have here? Thanks x

Posted - 30/03/2011 : 21:14:14 Call me crazy, but they look like a cross between an Argentine and a Guyanan, both of which I have and can see traits of each in there. A pure Argentine won't have that mottling on the sides, but will have the clean, crisp pattern you see on Brazilians. Guyanans have that mottling. Again, feel free to call me crazy

Posted - 30/03/2011 : 21:03:36 Welcome to the forum, Neon! Nice pickup you have there! How odd -- was your source unable to tell you which ssp they were? Surely they must have invoice records? Hammy makes a pretty good guess above, but color shots would really help nail it down. Again, great pickup, congrats! |

Posted - 30/03/2011 : 19:04:06 Well if I was a betting man I would say they are Argentine Boas, looking at the mottling on the flanks. Due to being a black and white photo, I can't really be sure...
Are they a Mid brown outer and Light brown inner circles on the top with light borwn flanks and mid brown spots down the side?
They look nice though ! :)
