Has got to be the removing of the damp and soggy shed skin from the viv after they've shed- it feels awful

Wow, timely topic. I just had three adults shed this past Sunday.

'Course, I'll take shed removal any day over the other stuff they leave!!! (Has anyone else noticed their rainbows seem to take special delight in timing their toilet with fresh water changes? I changed water last night in nine cages, and 25% of them needed another change this morning!)

Humidifier does the trick now!

i must be quite lucky then, as my brb tends to shed around a branch all the time which is elevated off the ground so my sheds are never disgustingly wet, just slightly damp due to air moisture :D

I think it's something you get used to. Since we have a lot of amphibians now it's not unusual for us to be spraying tanks a lot- although I understand how much more difficult they are to maintain than other snakes. Just think we don't notice it anymore

I can live with the shed it's the constant worry of trying to keep up the temps and humidity within limits for me.

They are worse the fresher they are when you find them

I found Lilith's first shed last week- it was gross! Nothing like the nice dry sheds im used to with Riddick (royal)

IIRC, the kind of balloon that you don't get at kids' parties.

Hot Air Balloons??
I've never seen one of those at a kids party.
