Well my Boa is currently been delivered from the reptile shop, the guy said because the snake is used to been handled everyday (one of his personal pets hes selling me)... Plus it's a good 6 months old now, it won't really need a settling in period, is this right? |

Give her the extra week. It won't hurt her at all, and as a bonus will mean she's hungry next time, and therefore more likely to switch to whatever you offer as standard fare. |

OK thanks guys.
I was going to feed her tomorrow because the other 3 snakes in the house get fed on Saturday so it would be easier.
Should I try her on food tomorrow or wait 8 days? |

I'm definitely in agreement with everyone. Despite your snake being used to being handled and everything, the fact that it is being moved at all is going to stress it out. Being placed in a new environment (new tank or even just a new location) means a whole slew of new smells and sounds. It can be frightening and make the snake feel exposed and vulnerable.
Definitely give it at least three to four days...if not the whole week....to get used to everything again. Then begin your handling periods to allow the snake to get used to you.  |

Congrats!
I would still give it a few days without handling, though maybe three or so as opposed to a full week. I'd still wait the full week before feeding, though. Remember, even if a snake is used to being touched, a move to a new home (away from the "safety" he/she's accustomed to) can be very stressful!

Hi OHO!
You will still need to allow time to settle into its surroundings and by the sounds of things, it is being sent by post so it will be very stressed by the time it gets to you. You may find that it may try to bite!
