We can take a hint though from the fact that *most* Brazilian babies are born between July and October. If your snake followed this rule, that would mean it has to be either 1.5 years or 0.5 years old. My 1.5 years olds are mostly around 500-600 grams right now, with the smaller ones still fitting in one (very full) hand; and my six-month olds are mostly around 50-70 grams, and are all still pretty thin. If i had to take a wild guess, I'd peg your male as a *late* 2009 baby, so maybe 1.25 years old. Total guess though.
As for your other question, males stay a bit smaller than females, say five feet (females get to be around six). |

Sorry i have mistaken your Rossi for a female , There is no way of saying like i said before all snakes grow at different rates but the gurth wont be like a royal python if that's what you had in mind another name for BRB is Slender boa as they are slender with a nice bit of weight to it, no way of determin a time. |

Posted - 03/03/2011 : 15:04:43 Hey mate , 226g i would have to say you have been given wrong information on the rough scale on age when you bought her she is much more then 6 months just by looking at your other pictures i am going to say around the 12 - 14month as a rough guess but there is no way of pin pointing an accurate age without the history records on this snake. |

Posted - 03/03/2011 : 13:06:04 No point messuring his head and his body , More accurate to put him on some digital scales and weigh him would be the better option but its up to you.
I have added you on facebook my name is Ash Va... if you got it.
Well if she is eating a large mouse i would have to say around 12 to 13 months old range but could be wrong , My two brbs are both brother and sister and are 9months old eating one to two medium mice and are around the 2.5 to 3ft mark in length , My male weighs 164g and my female at 143g , So you could use these weights to compare but as you see they all grow at different rates my male was a fussy feeder at the start and kept refusing to feed but after some help on the forum i got him back on track and now you see he is putting on more weight than his sister who has had more feeds then him it goes to show every snake grows different. |

Posted - 03/03/2011 : 11:53:48 Hi and welcome to the forum , From looking at the pic i am going to say its around the 1year old age but could be wrong as all snakes grow at different rates , It would help if you can weigh your BRB so we can compare weights with an rough age and what its eating (size prey). |

Posted - 03/03/2011 : 00:58:28 I'll look when I get home. But a weight would be helpful as well, if you can get one. |

Posted - 03/03/2011 : 00:04:59 Looking at its head size I'd say it was well over a year old.. But that's only going from the small picture I can see. Unless those are very small hands |
