ive just purchased some EXO TERRA compressed forest moss and was just wondering do i have to just and water like it says on the pack or should i prepare it another way ie: bakeing or freezing or is it good to go ???

Good answer, Oscar! My small addition: it also depends where you get your moss from. If it comes from any business that has reptiles, *always* freeze or add boiled water to it. If comes from somewhere unrelated, such as a garden supply store, your risk is much lower.

As far as I'm aware you can freeze the stuff, especially if you're gonna use chunks of it at a time. What I would recommend is ALWAYS use boiling water when you want to use the stuff, it's to kill off any remaining bacteria.. Watch the stuff grow like magic when water hits it!
