I have my brb a week now and im not sure if she in shed or not..one day its in dull colours the next day normal...!By the way today as i handled her i ve noticed something in her nose!I think that is the beginning of shedding the old skin.Whats your opinion? After handling and putting her back i left her over the water bowl and she stopped there for a biiig drink..and now she is all inside enjoying a bath! This makes me because she never leaves the hide and the fresh water is always there..Is there any problem?plz i need your suggestions

Sometimes snakes don't eat if they haven't poo'd. It's rare and a personality thing, but it's nothing to worry about. Some snakes are just different to others. Some love food, some don't seem bothered.

also she had been fed over a week since the un-digested discovery.

Im sure it was poo as it had uric acid crystals with it.I have since fed her again and she ate no problem, i have however gone a bit smaller with the prey item. fingers crossed.

what u mean non fully digested poo?are u sure its poo or it vomits after dinner??mine was finally in shed and she didnt want to come out..so i dont think its the time of the year.

hi, my brb is nearll 3 yrs and untill recently been a great feeder, however her last two feeds have ended in not fully digested poo. i lowererd the temp in hot end from 32 to 30 and cool end from 26 to 24 and still she remains hidden away. i was told that i was keeping her a little on the warm side. hope she digests proply this time as not sure what to do next. she sheds well has good humidity, but refuses to leave hide. to tie in with what you were saying i am wondering if its the time of year. what do you think.

They are nocturnal. Mine stays hidden most of the day, but is pretty active at night.

The humidity is between 75-85% but i dont have a digital device. Are brbs non active snakes?mine spends all the time in her hide..

I would say it is a sign that she's due a shed. She'll be bathing in the water bowl to help with this process.

What is the humidity like in her tank?

She is a stunning snake by the way - I have noticed my BRB seeming to change colour, but I think it is something to do with the light. If she gets good light it brings her colours out a lot more than if she's in shade
