Posted - 03/12/2010 : 18:23:15 Urates are the solid form of uric acid, the same thing we as humans pee out as urine. Reptiles excrete it in solid form, presumably as an evolutionary tool to reduce water loss. So...yes. ;-) |

Posted - 03/12/2010 : 16:58:02 You will find white waste (urates) far more often than brown waste (the real poop). The second is what you're looking for. |

Ahh well. I'll keep an eye on her!
Cheers cliff ! |

Posted - 02/12/2010 : 23:16:18 Yes, I remember. My "Promoetheus" did the same thing: low waste and then a regurge. He still produces little waste, or rather a large one very infrequently, but seems to be growing fine. As of Tuesday he'd hit 266 grams. :-) |

Posted - 02/12/2010 : 22:52:36 ok...sounds like a plan. My only worry is that this is the snake that suffered a regurge about 8 weeks ago!
Do you remember?
i just hope its not going to happen again |

Posted - 02/12/2010 : 21:41:16 One of mine does that. His digestive system evetually backed up and he regurged. My advice: soak him. Maybe 30 minutes or so, for three days straight, and see if that helps. In the meantime, skip one meal (it won't hurt him one bit). |
