hi, looking to double check what we are planning to do before we actually do it. We are looking to breed our ARBs and have never yet bred any snake as yet so advice is all welcome. looking at a few techniques and the one that stands out would be the one that i plan to follow but if this is wrong please advise

we currently keep our ARBs at around 30 oC and would look to gradually reduce this temperature to around 20 oC gradually over about 10days, then leave it at that temperature for 6 weeks before gradually bringing the temperature back up to 30 oC before putting the female in beside the male

if this is agreeable please let me know, im a worrier and want to do this right

Andi, I;ve never kept that particular subspecies, but do keep Brazilians. Were I you, I would make the rampdown slower. Ten degrees Celcius (18F for our American readers) is a big drop in such a short time. When I cool, I do it over six to eight weeks, hold for two weeks, and then bring it back up over three to four weeks.

Good luck!
