Here's an old friend that hadn't come for a visit in a while, so I went to see her for a change. She's the second largest of 6 Dumeril's that a friend has, all of which are under 5 years old and exceptionally well-mannered. Enjoy!

I had the opportunity to work with about 15 or so of these at the breeder. All were well behaved and gorgeous!
Thanks for sharing!

They are stunning snakes, indeed. I get more and more green with envy each time I see them, lol.
I would say this particular female will easily spend the majority of her life around the 8 foot mark, perhaps creeping up around 9 feet as the years pass and possibly hitting 10 feet in her old age. She'll be 5 years old this fall, and as you can see she's got a good start to being a large girl. |

Yea, all the dumerils we had were as cool as the redtails, practically the ball pythons of the boa world!

I would like a big boa , I was thinking male , one that goes to around 6 foot and not too chunky , how do the males of this species go ? Are they all very docile ? |

Either a male dumerils or a male redtail would be great from the description you state you want. Both are very docile. |

Its more the chunky factor as it doesn't so much matter in length as corns can be 5-6 ft , but don't get chunky . Don't think I could manage a heavy 6-7 footer lol |

I'd stick with a Rainbow Boa in that case. I've seen common Boa constrictors get over 9 feet many times. |
