reptile disenfectant IMO is best. I heard of someone using antibacterial washing up liquid to wash RUBs but I dunno how effective that is so I personaly wouldnt use it.

Some chemicals have been known to cause neurological disorders in snakes, so you have to be very careful. A lot of folks use a diluted bleach solution, but I've only ever used water to clean. Occasionally I'll use a mild dish washing detergent if necessary, but that's as far as I'll go, personally.
What is it that you need to disinfect?

Chlorhexidine and Mint Disinfectant are both safe options. A 5% bleach solution is safe *only* if you follow it up with a clean water rinse and then wipedown...and keep the snake well away during the process. But I generally only use bleach in a cage if an animal has been sick or passed away.
