hey guys just wondering of any tips you have for getting your BRBs strike feeding. Rocky has done it twice, when he eats he does it in the middle of the night in his vivarium, i know its a posotive that he is eating at all, just wondering how to stimulate his strike response

1.1.0 corn snakes(jake and dot)
0.1.0 leopard gecko(gordon)
1.0.0 brb(rocky 'bal' boa)
1.0.0 praying mantis (herbert)

I'm not sure I understand...your snake eats, but you want it to strike? If you're feeding it dead prey there's no need for it to strike, and in fact, most keepers prefer that they don't strike at dead food because it increases the risk that it'll go for a hand that's just there to drop-in some dead food and damage itself when the keeper instinctively pulls-back when struck, ripping the snakes mouth.

Ah, okay, gotcha. If it's a baby, it can often take some movement to get it interested in eating, but once it *does* get a few items into it and starts to make the connection between eating and how good it feels once it eats, it'll start eating readily. They're just a little shy when they're young. Covering the cage when there is food in it may help :)

Todd is correct, Luke. My current litter took a whiiile to start striking. Last week, in fact -- their eighth meal -- was the first time yet a majority of the litter did so. No worries, your youngster will get around to it soon enough.
