Firstly, hello and welcome
With regards to handling, BRB's are usually quite feisty as babies, this is just nature's way of protecting them. This will calm down with time, each snake has its own personality though.
What I woulld say is that if you've only just got him, give him a week or so to relax and get used to his new surroundings before trying to handle him again. Do things like change water, but he's probably just doing some adjusting! |

Miya, it is difficult (almost impossible) to tesimate age based on weight or length -- items like feeding frequency, which can vary greatly keeper to keeper, play too large a role in determining growth.
I agree with Oscar, give him time to settle before further handling. If he does bite you though, make sure not to put him down for a few minutes after -- that will only teach him that biting leads to freedom.
As for humidity, use a water-retaining substrate, a large flat water bowl placed partly over the heat, and a moist moss hide. Also, limit ventillation with the outside: no screen tops or hoards of holes!
Good luck, |
