My daughter got a job at our local pet store and I ended up buying a snake, Columbian Rainbow. I never thought I would ever have a snake of all things, but I held her a few times at the store and just couldn't resist! It's a good thing too cause she had been there for over a year and escaped a time or two, went for a swim in a neighboring newt tank; so I only had her for one night when I knew something wasn't right and took her to the vet... Respiratory Infection! Got her on antibiotics and within 2 weeks she was doing perfect! I had no idea about the humidity requirements when I bought her so that proved to be a challenge, but with a bit of research I was able to figure out my own system in no time. I have completely fallen in love with her and take her out every chance I get. She likes to climb up wrap around my ponytail, she will just sit up there while I wash dishes, cook dinner, whatever.

You really have a beautiful girl in there! I am really amazed that you are able to take hold of so much information about her health as well. I sure hope that you will be able to bring up with lasting relationship with her.
Taking care of them is really at its finest when there are still at this tender age. |
