I dont know if any one gets this happen but last night when I went to bed the temp said it was 27.5 which seemed pretty perfect. Got up this morning and it was 29.5 which from my understanding is too high. I have turned the stat down a notch but am worried that it happened in the first place. The temp in my chrondo viv stays the same 99% of the time so i dont understand why this one isn't Any ideas??

The only thing I can think of is that the temperature probe had moved - not much help really.
I have all my probes stuck to the appropriate areas with sealant, this stops them getting moved by my snakes as they go wandering

Hi Blackcat, Ive sealed it into place but it still keeps doing it. Think I may need to invest in a new Thermostat :(

It certainly sounds as if that might be the case.
What type/make of thermostat do you use?
I have one microclimate and the rest of mine are Habistat (all are on/off Mat Stats), I get a bigger range with the microclimate, ie it switches off around 28.6 but doesn't switch back on until it has dropped to about 26.8.
The only problem I get is a different temp reading from different makes of digital thermometers - I now have several temp probes in my rubs, this will have to change when they move into their Vivs.

Sam, what was the ambient temp in the room? In other words, could that have caused it (or, similarly, maybe a heating duct or sunlight exposure)?
