Hi Many thanks all who've welcomed me! I'm attempting to line my viv with plexiglass to ensure humidity but also wondered about the relative benefits of a fogger. Also further advice on decor etc. much appreciated

What is your viv made of that requires a plexi coating, if I might ask?
Foggers have been used by several members, but are not a necessity.
Decor looks great, just be aware that anything that goes in the viv will need to be cleaned and disinfected every now and then. |

Hello and welcome and congratulations on choosing a BRB - such awesome snakes With regards to decor I use resin aquarium ornaments - so much easier to keep clean than wooden stuff which goes mouldy so easily |

Hi I read a post on here under DIY about a plexiglass lining to a wooden viv to retain humidity, which I what I've followed. In addition I'm looking at a rain or misting system to maintain at the appropriate level. What would be appreciated is advice on substrate etc please and also the rain/misting system if others have tried them Many thanks Andy |

The closest I come to a rain system is my spray bottle. ;-)
As for substrate, there are lots of options. Some of the most popular are orchid bark, coc husk, and Eco Earth. Whatever you pick, make sure it holds humidity well and resists moisture. |
