Hi all, just picked up my new baby BRB and what a beautiful snake she is lovely to handle only let down by the advice i got from the shop, she's about 10-12 weeks old and apparently measuring the humidity isn't important you don't need a thermostat just let it go full heat, just as well i have done my hone work

yea WE know better but its still irritating that they don't, still how long would you leave her before you would expect her to feed i have offered a mouse but while interest was shown but no nom nom nom

at least a week to settle in...... if not 2..... and possible more to get her feeding, just depends if she's a stress-head lol

Oh well the mouse i offered last night has gone this morning, thought i'd leave it in just to see so either the thing got ate or walked off :)either way i didn't have to flush it this morning

Silly shop! I wonder how many complaints they get when people's snakes have either dehydrated or burnt to death?

Don't know about snakes but there was a woman giving the guy an earful after spending quite a few hundred pounds on a tortoise setup only to find they shouldn't be kept indoors well not for long anyway poor snakeys

Bet he'd sold her a vivarium with heat mat too - apparrently Torts don't do well in vivs, they need a tortoise table with heat lamp

Not sure about the requirement for a table although they look nice, the torts need heat from above. believe think it'll be time for piccies soon she at least thats what the gonad in the shop thought the poor thing was seems to be settling in just fine time for a second feed soon so calm when handled
