after leaving Rio to settle in it's time for the eagerly awaited hold and hopefully first feed. I can't wait to hold him and i hope he's feeling hungry. One thing i have noticed is how much he comes out for a wander round, which is nice although he doesn't rush himself it's a slow take your time wander. I'll let you know how i get on later, I've got a nice selection of various mice defrosting as it's feeding time for them all. he's about to have a mouse fuzzy, i was wandering what is an equivalent size in the rat family, as i'd like to get him onto rats sooner rather than later. |

Yes I think that's about the best thing for me to do. Well he was a dream to hold and he's got fantastic colours, I was able to appreciate why they cal them rainbow boas. He also fed well, went for the mouse straight away, he's now sleeping it off again. I can't wait for him to get big, he's such a tiny chap. I'm very happy though, just finishing feeding the others then I'm done :) |

congrats on the feed i know it can be a HUGE relief!!
once he's in an established feeding routine you can try scenting the mice with rats and gradually move him over, that said, some will take the change over instantaneously and it's just all the stress and worry in our own head lol |
