Hi all,
Im supposed to be picking up my 3 yr old BRB in a couple of days, although they said they may keep it longer due to it having dry eye?? I keep other snakes and have never heard of this, at first it looks like retained caps but when you look closer is just like the eye is dehydrated??? Unsure if they have the humidity correct?
Any tips/advice/info??

i've not heard of 'dry eye' in reps specifically but my first thoughts are too low humidity (meaning the snake itself will be dehydrated, not just the eye area) or a retained eye cap too.........
are you buying it from a breeder or rep shop or other source? |

| I havent heard of dry eye either. The brb has come from a shop, the first snake ive ever bought from a shop! The humidity in its tank there looked low, ive upped its humidity in its new tank, so il see how it goes. Doesnt looked like retained eye caps, both eyes are the same and look very black?? Somethings not right, no sparkle and wrinkling of the area surrounding the eyes. Im hoping a humidity problem, not blindness from bad past sheds etc.......... |

hopefully it will resolve itself with correct, stabilised humidity............and maybe a successful shed too. keep us posted  |
