(The Forum Guudelines threads are locked, but this question pertains to them.)
I read the guidelines on pictures in signatures, but if I might suggest, a pixel measurement guideline might be a good addition to those rules.
Also, would the administrators please consider allowing a single homepage URL link in the signature block?

If you go by the rough guide of about 800x300 pixels for now. In regards the url link in sig block, just add one into yours if you want it.
Don't read any of my posts on our other forum at the moment, I'm getting miffed with full paged sized sigs at the moment and have uploaded a whopping 4000x3000 pixel 5mb image into mine on there. See how long it takes before people think theirs might be a bit big. |

LOL, that's totally evil and I love it!
Re picture: I know someone will ask, so is that width or depth first?
Re sig: html code is disabled in the sig block, so can I just write the URL out?
Thanks Kehhlyr! |

width first, so about 800 pixels wide, by 300 deep.
You can just write the URL out as http://www.weneedcake.co.uk
Or you can enclose into your own text with the [url="www.weneedcake.co.uk"]do you need cake??[/url] code.
Which means you'll end up with: Do you need cake??
Similar to the 2 in my sig, I have the updating small photo that links out to webcams and chat when clicked on, and the bit of text above that that says 'some of my animals' which links out to a page with my animal pics on.

Ah, the quotes were what was throwing me and why I could not get it to work. Secrets revealed! ;-)
I'd still suggest, at some point in the future, adding the pict size limits to the signatures thread on that forum.
Thank you, Kehhlyr! |

Pic size limits aren't as bad on this forum really because it's not as busy. But on TCS where there are a stupid amount of posts a day, and you end up wearing your scroll wheel out because half the scrolling is to get past sigs.
In all honesty it's been left how it was because if they are to big then a mod will email asking to resize/change the sigs.
Back to your sig though, where you've got the link to LG reps on facebork with a clickable hyperlink, instead of having: Living Gems Reptiles
You can use an image tag instead of words so you'd end up with a clickable banner like so:
I pilfered borrowed the image off facebook to do that. Some other forums the code might be different, if it is then it's usally the the removal of the " symbols from the code. |
