my rainbow boa has not eaten in about 8 weeks now. the cage is correct humidity is right, temperature is right, i have varied the cage to give him more interest and he has a dry place and a wet place. is there anything else i can try to get him to eat, he has always been a good eater before and he is still active.

What was he feeding on prior to going on hiatus like this?

Also, how old is your snake and how much does he weigh? Normal defecating patterns prior to rejecting food? Any regurgs?

Have you noticed anything out of the ordinary for him such as spending most of his time on one side or the other?

Jonathan has some excellent questions. Basically, the more we know, the better we can help you. If you could share temp and humidity info that would also help.

BTW, assuming he's older, is there a mature female nearby? That could also explain this.

(Aside: Mods, may we please move this thread to the "Health" subforum so more people can find it and weigh in?)
