This week Living Gems Reptiles profiles one of its baby animals, Sodalite. Sodalite is a September 2010 female. She was acquired because of her high potential for deep red color. As of March 2011, she weighed 69 grams.

Here she is in a sequence of three shots under different lighting, all taken from the top in March 2011:

Inside, No Flash

Inside, Flash

Outside

Her color is a bit obscured in these shots by a surprising amount of reflected light and iridescence, and it has picked up considerably since then. She’s looking like she could turn into a smoker!

Thank you for reading,

Thanks Louise! I agree, that set captured her iridescence stunningly well.

LOL I know the forum, too, Jonathan! ;-)

Again, thanks for looking everyone!

I've followed both your and Dave's posts on another forum. I've never talked to him myself, but he seems pretty cool.

Sodalite is a stunner Cliff. Who produced her if you don't mind me asking. Great pics.
