Posted - 02/03/2011 : 00:40:29 I use compressed coconut husk. I it is great for the high humidity needed. Doesn't mold or break down too quickly. I couldn't find any recently for my last change so I am on the eco-earth soil substrate that is just ground up coconut husk really fine. |

Posted - 22/02/2011 : 17:08:44 I have moss throught and I try to keep just the warm end damp but of course due to the condensation the cool end still gets damp.
What I do though is provide a dry hide at the cool end which is a small tub with a hold cut into it with some dry kitchen roll inside. That way she still has a dry place to go. The paper does get a little damp but not wet. |

It is just too messy to deal with and it gets every where |

Posted - 19/02/2011 : 21:13:40 I find that I just can't maintain high enough humidities in the Viv with Bark Sticking with the soils I think! It is a bit of a bee-hatch though,,, |

Posted - 18/02/2011 : 20:02:14 I agree with you both. 'Course, I also wind up with pieces of moss littering my floor, so it's kind of no win.... ;-) |
