can humidity be too high for a colombian rainbow boa ? this is my first high humidity snake and after months of research i am still nervous to make sure things are right, the substrate is orchid bark and is only damp rather than water logged the tank has been misted as well as a large sturdy water bowl provided the hygrometer (a dial one, not ideal i know but previous digital gave up an died this morning so only until saturday will dial be used) is giving a reading of 90 percent and their appears to be condensation on the glass ? do i allow humidity to fall to 50 before misting again or will substrate and water bowl be ok with just a light misting once or twice to maintain at 80 ?
any help and constructive advice is highly appreciated thank you
It's hard to make it too humid. You want the viv damp, not soaked. Remember, the aim is to make sure the air stays humid, and even light moisture in the substrate will replenish that water in the air. Condensation on the side in an excellent sign. I assume you've covered over any screen tops or large ventilation holes?

hi thanks for the reply, ye he only has two very small vents, a mixture of sphagnum moss and orchid bark seems to have levelled it all out and keeping it at about 82 percent on a digital hygrometer
