well i went to Paws for Thought on York Road in Leeds today......... just to buy some pinkies for the corn hatchies....... and picked up a new Dumerils boa <3

he wasn't technically for sale as he's a force-feeder and they wouldn't normally sell any snakes that aren't feeding readily but i obviously sounded like i an experienced Dum-lover and knew what i was doing, and i managed to knock them down to less than half their original (sky-high!) price so he came home with me earlier today

whilst waiting at the counter for them to get his paperwork a member of the public walked in, saying he'd found an adder in his garden and didn't know what to do with it............... as he plonked the plastic container down next to the Dum i realised it was actually a hatchling carolina cornsnake......... so that came home with me too!

and i remembered to get my pinkies

what a productive day off work!

You little Dum-lover. Is the new one a male or a female?

He's cute! It is going to take him a while to get up to Marilyn's size though isn't it. That tart and her younger men eh?

Based on the photos he does look a lot more pink. Are you going to try him on live?

yeah he's a previous force-feeder every 3 weeks at the shop which is why i got £125 knocked off him!!

he's got plenty of condition though which is good so i've got a little time to play with and find out what works, but i'll try live first

so far he's called Baby.......... a bit 'Dirty Dancing' for those of us old enough lol

had a trip to Rothwell Pets & Reptiles today (my last Wednesday off work ) and whilst chatting to Danni it turns out she bred my lastest Dum!!

Paws For Thought must have had him in for nearly a year she reckons as he's one of last years babies. she sold him as a feeder on rat weaners then 11 months later PFT sell him to me as a force-feeder?? what have they done???

hoping to get him going again but he's already refused a medium mouse left in overnight so rat weaners are the next attempt before resorting to live to get a feed down him.

You can do it GP!

I think sometimes being in a home rather than a shop helps. He'll receive more care and attention with you- which as got to make him feel more secure anyway.
