Scott/cumbrian_eejit put me on to this one and after various emails with the vendor and a quick trip out, arrived in the madhouse on Sunday.
On paper: CB05 / rising 4 years old, stated male on A10, not microchipped yet (should be by law) and ONLY 20 MILES AWAY, GREAT!!
In reality: possibly CB07/08?, may be male or female (as i'm certain the paperwork doesn't relate to this particular snake), about 3ft long and the size of a yearling cornsnake, in a mahooosive 4ft viv, and feeding every 3 months (i wonder why??) the CITES A10 paperwork is out of date as it needs renewing stating the microchip number at around 15 months of age, and obviously needs microchipping still.
I just felt he needed to be rescued although he wasn't the boyfriend for Marilyn i was looking for. but feeding 4 times a year? how can you leave a little snake to that kind of life? he's now in the 2.5 foot viv that i was going to move Queenie into shortly. i'm hoping the smaller enclosure will help get him feeding more regularly as he must have been stressed to hell. pics will follow shortly, i took some when moving him from transport RUB to viv but photobucket is currently offline but should be back later. |
