OK, so I haven't been on here so much the last few months - had got a bit demoralised with Prism who after drop feeding for a short period of time, stopped eating again when going into a shed cycle... and wouldn't start again afterwards

Back down the assist route for a bit, then stopped for a few weeks again. After she hadn't eaten for a further 6 weeks all of a sudden out of the blue she decided to strike and coil one night!! Plus she landed in the water bowl no less which we thought would mean she would leave it but no - she continued to eat whilst half submerged!!!

She has now struck and coiled 3 feeds in a row, so we are over the moon - just over a year since we got her, and her snake instincts have FINALLY kicked in lol!!

So she is 13 months old and only weighing in at a dainty 117g, but hopefully she'll make up for lost time now

She shed the other week, and OH got a couple of pics today

Looking good smart bunny and a respectable weight considering her start.
Just so you know she is not far behind Orinoco who only weighs 187g compared to Tobago who weighs in at 246g. These two were both born towards the end of February 2012.
Tobago will strike and coil but Orinoco never shows much interest and resorts in eating if left in a covered RUB.
Long may her new found enthusiasm for eating continue

Congrats on the new feeding interest! They can be picky little beasts sometimes, but I'll still take them over any other species of snake!!!

Thanks both

(She struck and coiled again last feed - I think she's cracked it!)

She's looking great. I'm so glad she's finally got the hang of the whole eating thing
