Hi I was wondering if it would be ok to mix Cypress with Exo Terra's Forest Moss?

don't see why not...... as a (much!) cheaper alternative i use sphagnum moss from the local garden centre though

I also use sphanum from the garden centre

Just freeze or pour boiling water on it before use.
