Leon10, rainbows will often spend a day or two in their water bowl, just digesting/relaxing, after a meal -- especially a big meal. The behavior, interestingly, seems to be much more common as the animal ages: almost all of my established adults do it, but very few of my babies.
'Course, they often hang out in there for the other end of the digestive process, too, but cleanup is a different thead. ;-) |

My lil guy likes chilling in shallow water. He sits in his moss pot which has about 1cm of water in it. He always does this after feeding |

When young, yes, absolutely. I rarely if ever see my babies soak. I even have one adult (that I adopted *as* an adult, about two months back) who I never see soak. |

Great picture, Welly. My BRB switches between his moss hide and his warm side water dish, depending on how close he is to shedding. When I first got him, though, he used to spend a LOT of his time in his water dish. Now, he only visits when he's going into shed. |
