Once again, i have no idea about what has happened :/
But im still here, keeping up the good spirit :) I have liked this forum,
and everyone in it, but im thinking i must have missed something. Hopefully,
everyone is okay and theres no bad blood between us friendly users :)

I would like to explain to those of you who are wondering what is going on.
Hiper's latest IP address was found to match the latest IP used by Raverbaby.
As some of you may know IP addresses are a unique address assigned to each individual computer by an internet service provider. They can't be used intermittently by two different computers (or people unless they are using the same computer)
Whilst researching into this, I've noticed none of the posts were made close together... giving the raverbaby pseudonym time to log out and hiper time to long in. I really can't understand the reasoning behind it all...but that's the facts.
I'm sick of tolerating things like this on my forums. These forums are for people to enjoy, having people about like this just ruins the atmosphere we've spent so long creating.
This ban will be permanent. I'm shocked and disappointed by it, but there is no way it can be explained other than by these facts.
Hiper has my personal email address. I have sent him an email explaining my actions. I hope you all can understand, I prefer to handle this off forum than it being a public debate.

Thank you for the 'heads up' and I totally understand and concur the reasoning behind your actions..
Just hope this all settles down soon and returns to nirvana once again..

If he couldn't explain it and those are the facts then you did the right thing. However, there is a way for more than one computer to use the same IP address at the same time, via a router. It's also possible for someone to grab onto his connection, say, via an improperly or unsecured wireless access router without his knowledge (as opposed to being connected via ethernet cable to the router, physically) In this case, someone else could have been doing anything they pleased whilst showing up using the same outward facing IP address.
This is highly unlikely, however, as the person would have needed other information known to hiper to show up here, etc.
I have seen this very same thing happen on mailing lists where list users create another identity and cause problems. They say 10% of the population has some sort of mental "issue". Who knows why people do what they do.
